York Barbican is the city’s largest live entertainment venue, a short walk from the city centre on Paragon Street. It hosts a year-round programme of touring bands, classical concerts, stand-up comedy, snooker tournaments and family shows, with a tiered auditorium configurable for seated or standing audiences. Following a major refurbishment it has become one of Yorkshire’s busiest mid-sized venues, drawing acts that would otherwise bypass the city.
