The York Sweet Shop

A traditional confectioner on Low Petergate stocking retro British sweets, fudge and chocolates since 1911.
Trading from a heritage shopfront a short walk from York Minster, The York Sweet Shop is a nostalgic pick-and-mix paradise lined with jars of cola cubes, sherbet lemons, humbugs and rhubarb-and-custards. Run by long-standing York confectioners John Bull, it’s particularly known for its handmade fudge and peanut brittle, and is a favourite stop for visitors heading along the Petergate–Shambles route.
