Accessibility
At City Sightseeing, we believe great adventures should be open to everyone.
That’s why we’re doing our best to make sure all our iconic red buses are easy to hop on and enjoy—no matter your needs. From ramp access to helpful staff and guides, we’re here to make your sightseeing experience smooth, safe, and full of amazing memories. Read below for our FAQ.
Can I take my wheelchair on the bus?
Yes! All our buses are fully accessible for wheelchair users. Each bus is equipped with a ramp to make boarding easy and safe, and there is a designated space on the lower deck to accommodate wheelchairs comfortably. Our drivers are trained to assist if needed, so don’t hesitate to ask for help when boarding.
Do you offer discounts for carers?
Yes, we do. Carers receive a £5 discount on our 24-hour tour tickets. This discount is available when accompanying someone who requires assistance. You can find more details and purchase tickets through our website or from the tour bus driver.
If for whatever reason I am unable to participate in the tour, can I use my ticket another time?
Absolutely. If your ticket hasn’t been activated (meaning it hasn’t been scanned on the bus), you’re welcome to use it on another day. Tickets remain valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, giving you plenty of flexibility to reschedule your visit.
Can I request assistance?
Yes, of course. Our friendly team members are stationed at major stops and are always happy to help. You can also speak directly to our tour bus drivers—they’re trained to assist with boarding, seating, and any other needs you may have. Just let us know how we can support you.
Are there visual and audible announcements on vehicles at stops?
Yes. All our buses are fitted with both audio commentary and visual displays that announce the next stop. This helps ensure that all passengers, including those with visual or hearing impairments, can follow the tour comfortably. If you’re unsure where to get off, just ask a team member—they’ll be glad to assist.
Can assistance animals travel with passengers?
Yes, assistance dogs are warmly welcomed on board all our tours. They can stay with you throughout the journey, and our colleagues will do their best to make sure you and your companion are comfortable.
What support is available for passengers with hidden disabilities?
We understand that not all disabilities are visible. If you need any extra support—whether it’s help with directions, seating, or anything else—please let our drivers or team members know. We’re committed to making your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
What is the process for reporting accessibility issues?
We’re always looking to improve our services. If you experience any accessibility issues or have suggestions, please speak to a team member at one of our stops or contact us online through our website. Your feedback helps us make our tours better for everyone.
